Recruiting from ChatGPT: connect SourceGeek and search candidates in your chat
ChatGPT is good at words: job ads, interview questions, outreach drafts. On its own it cannot tell you who is actually out there. Connect SourceGeek and ChatGPT can search real candidate, company and job data, and save what it finds where your team can use it.
What you can ask for
Once SourceGeek is connected, ChatGPT can:
- Search candidates, companies and job postings in plain language.
- Look up public LinkedIn data on a person, a company, a job or a post. SourceGeek reads only; it never sends messages or connection requests.
- Save results as a sheet in your SourceGeek workspace, score it against a job description and create a shortlist with the evidence for each candidate.
- Use your team's context: tone of voice, company profile and hiring process, kept in SourceGeek and shared by everyone in the workspace.
- Look up occupations and skills in the EU's ESCO taxonomy and Dutch labour market statistics from CBS.
Three prompts to start with
- "Who is hiring data engineers in Rotterdam right now? List the companies and their open roles."
- "Find 25 product designers in Berlin with fintech experience and save them as a sheet."
- "Score that sheet against this job description and shortlist the top 8 with a one-line reason each."
Add SourceGeek to ChatGPT
ChatGPT adds custom apps through developer mode, available on paid plans that allow it. Menu names can differ slightly between plans.
- In ChatGPT on the web, open Settings, then Apps, then Advanced settings, and turn on Developer mode.
- Select Create app, name it SourceGeek, paste the server URL
https://chat.sourcegeek.com/mcpand choose OAuth. - Sign in to SourceGeek and choose your workspace.
- In a new chat, pick SourceGeek from the tools menu.
You need a SourceGeek account. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial. Searches, employee data lookups and scoring use your workspace's credits.
